Paul J. Wilson

November 14, 1937 — October 25, 2021

Paul J. Wilson, age 83, died October 23, 2021. Born in Akron, Ohio on November 14, 1937 to the late John Wilson and Annabellle Tomaiko. After John's passing, Annabelle married Francis Tomaiko. Francis was the father Paul knew and loved. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brothers John Wilson and David Tomaiko and his sister, Frances Potts. He is survived by his brother Mike Tomaiko (Wendy Tomaiko).

Paul was committed to his immediate family, extended family and many dear friends during his lifetime. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Linda. He also leaves behind his daughters Theresa Gardner (Christopher Matyus) and Lorna Wilson; grandchildren Eric Gardner (Betsy Gardner), Kendra Gardner (Matt Earley) and Christian Lepley; great grandchildren Averie and Ace Gardner.

Family and friends meant everything to Paul. He loved boating, fishing, swimming, scuba diving, grilling, yard saling and videotaping his family's memories. Health issues shortened his career as a Master Plumber but his strength and determination were an inspiration. Family remember the 4th of July parties and his influence, wisdom and advice. He was an animal lover and allowed many pets into the home, including his much loved Doberman, Trooper. The door was always open for family and friends to drop by.

A private service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Francis De Sales Parish 4019 Manchester Rd Akron, OH 44319, the Humane Society of Summit County, or SouthernCare Hospice Services.
