Paula R. Burkhardt, age 61 of Suffield Twp., Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Akron City Hospital.
She was born in Akron on August 18, 1956, the daughter of Betty (nee Baker) Watts of Akron, and the late Paul Watts.
Paula was a homemaker, but before she settled into that role, she was vice-president of Paul Watts Trucking located in Norton, Ohio. She enjoyed the beach and cruising. Paula was a volunteer for many organizations in the area and gave freely of herself and her time. Her greatest joy and pleasure was giving and doing for her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Robert A. Burkhardt, whom she married on November 30, 1991; her children, Joshua Harsh, Jessica Harsh, Barbara Diaz, and Robert P. Burkhardt; her grandchildren, Dominic, Isaiah, Jonah, Haley, Hannah, Ezekiel and Saryna. Her siblings also survive, Dennis (Lisa) Watts, Chris (Susann) Watts, and Robyn (Ken) Williams; many nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305 on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home for visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
