Paulette Wilcox

Paulette Wilcox, 75, passed away November 22, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Rosemont, WV to Russell Helmick and Violet Gibson, she resided in Akron, Ohio her entire adult life. Paulette enjoyed watching soap operas as well as shows about Alaska and spending time with her beloved family.

In addition to her parents Paulette was preceded in death by her son, Thurman Wilcox; grandson; Kenny Antognoli; brothers, Raymond Serfass, Gary Helmick; step-mother, Betty Helmick; step-father, Russell Gibson. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 59 years, Louis "Buck" Wilcox; children, Patricia (Dean) Antognoli, Michael (Julie) Wilcox; grandchildren, Brittany (Danny), Anthony (Jordan), Madison (Shawn), Seth, Zachary, Russell, Jenna; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Jeannie (Chuck) Hickman, Roger Helmick and Aaron Helmick; special friend, Bobby; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, December 1, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron, Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Saturday, December 2 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Paulette's name to the American Cancer Society.
