Pauline Kirk
Pauline Kirk, 90, of Lakemore, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. It was a "good hair day" in heaven on Sunday, November 12. Her work as a beautician was her passion for 72 years. She held the oldest cosmetology license in the state of Ohio. Hospitality and her down-home cooking were her hallmark. Friends and relatives were always warmly welcomed.
Preceded in death by her husband Alva; she is survived by her children Joy Ballard (Marvin), Shari Voltz (Martin), Linda Robinson (Rod), Jeffrey Kirk (Kathy) as well as an "adopted daughter", Donna Jones. She leaves eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home, followed by interment at Hillside Memorial Park. Memorials may be sent to the Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E Market St., Akron 44304.
