Payton N. Lycans, age 73 of Stow, Ohio, died on August 10, 2022 at his home.
He was born on November 29, 1948 in Akron, the son of the late Payton and Evelyn (nee Chaney) Lycans.
Payton was retired from Spitzer Auto World and Al Spitzer Ford in Cuyahoga Falls for over 30 years, holding various jobs within the company including management.
Some of his hobbies included riding his motorcycles, including his Harleys and his Iron Horse Texas Chopper. He loved to golf and fish. His greatest love was being with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, the former Colleen McCall, whom he married on December 15, 1990; his children, William Joseph "Joe" LePoidevin, Jacob LePoidevin, Andy Hanbury and Audrey (Ben) Ingle; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Danika, Joey and Kaylie.
His one brother also survives, Donnie (Kathy) Lycans and his two nephews, Derek and Mathew Lycans and their families.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where family and friends may visit from 5:00 PM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral service costs.
