Pearl A. Dennison, age 94 of Akron, Ohio, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at her home.
She was born on December 26, 1923 in Gauley Mills, West Virginia, the daughter of the late James and Lillie W. (nee Williams) Hawkins.
Pearl was the owner and operator of the House of Pearl. Pearl was also a chef for Jelly Belly Deli and R & R Catering, in Akron.
Pearl enjoyed cooking and doing hair, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Dee Simeone, Richard (Ronald Rupe) Dennison, Jr., Jo Fern, and Orita (Wayne Crislip) Erhard; her grandchildren, Dina Finnan, Gina (Jason) Gilroy, Robert (Michelle) Fern, Jr., Rhonda (Darwin) Clapton, and Roxanne (Tim) Cool; her great-grandchildren, Bryce, Madison, Justin, Kathryn, Kaitlyn, Timmy, Tyler, Tanner, Christopher, and Jaden; brother, David (Phyllis) Hawkins and her sister, Annabelle (George) Peyatt.
Other than her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dennison, Sr. on December 24, 1971; her grandson, David Patrick Erhard; her son-in-law, Robert Fern, Sr.; and her friend, Leroy Green; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 5:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Rd., Akron, where Pastor Robert Webb will celebrate Pearl's life.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at 5:30 PM on Friday.
Pearl will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park on Saturday, March 24, 2018, where a prayer service will take place at 12:30 PM in the cemetery chapel.
