Pearl Edwards-Sumey, 82, passed away July 22, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was an avid bingo and card player, and she enjoyed life. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; daughter, Kathleen Francis; parents, Frank and Hazel Williams; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Steve) DeSantis, Bonnie (Gus) Powell, Debbie (Bruce) Hunsicker, and Susie (Paul) Hennigin; sons, Tim (Pauline) Sumey, Mark (Shoieeven) Sumey, Pat (Nancy) Sumey, and Chris (Robin) Sumey; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 27, from 3 pm to 6 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will follow at 6 pm with Pastor Darryl Moulder officiating.
