Pearl Gonzales

Pearl "Patty" Woods Gonzales was born April 3, 1956, in Montgomery, WV. She spent her life selflessly taking care of others until she lost her battle with cancer December 10, 2021. She was a direct support professional to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Hopewell since 2013.

She is survived by her longtime partner, William Thompson, her daughter, Tessa Gonzales, sons, Sabin and David Gonzales, sisters, Karen Osborne, Vanessa (Mark) Diekmann, Penny (Danny) Whitacre, Drema Neal (Julie Willoughby), brothers, Darrell (Anita) Osborne and Scott Neal, grandsons, Anthony Miller and Sabin Gonzales Jr., and granddaughter, Lyla Gonzales, great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her son Danny, brother-in-law, Butch Whitted, and parents Samuel Neal and Norma Woods Salinsky.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron).
