Peggy L. Bennett, 85, of Akron, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. She was born July 14, 1935 in Vincennes, Indiana to the late Denzil Carl and Stella Mae Claycomb.
Peggy was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. Nothing was more important to her than her family. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Keith Bennett; infant daughter, Paula Jean Moore; sisters Anna Etzel and Glenna Wilson; great-grandson Liam Michael Karnuth; grandparents, Henry and Daisy Chatman.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robert (Beth) Bennett, Debra (Daniel) Earl, Carletta (Jeffrey) Ringer, Patti Ann Edwards, and Julie Jett; grandchildren, Jessica, Daniel, Brianna, Andrew, Adam, Tracy, and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Savanna, Chevelle; many great-grandchildren; brothers Bill and Dan; sisters Rita, Pam and Vickie.
Calling hours for Peggy will be held on Friday, January 8, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, from 10:00am-11:30am. A private funeral service will be held by the family. She will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with her husband, Keith.
