Peggy M. Danzy

Peggy M. Danzy, 89, passed away on November 3, 2022. She was born on July 29, 1933 the daughter of the late William and Lucille Thompson. She was a woman of faith and attended The Chapel in Akron. Peggy was employed and worked many dedicated years for the Summit County Children Services and then she retired from Radiator Rich. Peggy was an avid reader, loved bowling with family and friends, and was gifted with a green thumb. Peggy also enjoyed playing softball in her younger years, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She will always be remembered with much love and laughter in her heart, a sense of humor, and a fierce protector of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters Charlotte Fisher and Lucille Yeary.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Joseph L. Danzy Jr.; children Charlotte (Gary) Miller, Robert (Abby) Beretics, and Richard (Debbie) Beretics; step-sons Joseph Danzy III, and Anthony (Raelyn) Danzy; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Pat) Thompson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 15, from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 11:00am with Gary Miller officiating.
Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
