Peggy J. Farkas

Peggy June Farkas (nee Campbell), age 97, passed from this life on April 19, 2023 in Sebring.
She was born on May 1, 1925 in Akron, the daughter of the late Christopher and Ina (nee Hathaway) Campbell.
Other than her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Steve Farkas; and her son Dr. Stephen A. Farkas.
Survivors include her children, Kimberly Sue (Danny) Lewis and Timothy James (Jami) Farkas; her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Peggy was a legal secretary who worked for several law firms in the Akron area. She was involved in many volunteer organizations including the Ellet Women's Club and Keep Akron Beautiful.
Peggy had a huge heart and never knew a stranger. Peggy loved musicals and flowers and most importantly she loved her faith, her family, and her friends. She will be sorely missed by all.
At her request, there will not be any calling hours, however a graveside funeral service will be held at Hillside Memorial Park Chapel, 1025 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM where Dr. David Weyrick will celebrate Peggy's life.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
