Peggy J. Yost, 76, of Lakemore, passed away June 10, 2011. She was born in Barnesville, Ohio on April 3, 1935. Peggy was a devoted Sunday School teacher for seventeen years at Ellet Church of the Nazarene. She will always be remembered for making the best fudge in town. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nellie; and sister, Betty. She will be deeply missed by her dog, Whisper Harmony; children, Tim (Iva) of Florida, Junior (Charlene)of Canal Fulton, Debbie of Florida, Sheri (Mike) Sarnescky of Akron, Rocky (Jolene) of Cuyahoga Falls, Tony of N. Canton, and Kelley (Bud) Semelsberger of Akron; sisters, Nancy, Charlotte, and Naomi; brothers, William and Roger; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon with Pastor Steven Wellman officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tallmadge Church of the Nazarene.
