Peggy L. Gardner, 61, of Uniontown, passed away surrounded by family on September 26, 2009. Peggy was born in Akron on March 17, 1948 and attended Akron Public Schools. She was a co-owner of Design Carpet Warehouse and Gardner Homes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Nelda Morris and sister, Claudia Mackey. Peggy will be deeply missed by her nephew, Terry (Debbie) Mackey; great-nephews, Craig Mackey and Joe Barriault; great-niece, Candie Barriault; great-great-nephew, Devin Graham; cousin, Jerri (Bob) Beal of Taylors, SC; aunt, Myra (Stu) Durdin of Renton, WA; cats, Missy and Abbey; numerous cousins and many friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. followed by a 7:00 p.m. memorial service at Eastwood Church of the Brethren, 581 Darrow Rd., Akron, Rev. Paul Markland officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PKD Foundation, 9221 Ward Parkway Suite 400, Kansas City, MO 64114-3367.
