Perry Acy Armes "Paw Paw"
Perry Acy Armes "Paw Paw", 66, went to Heaven on May19, 2007 at Akron General Medical Center after an 8 month courageous battle with cancer. Perry was born on October 3, 1940 in Richlands, Virginia. He served several years with the United States Army and resided in Germany during that time. Perry lived most of his life in Akron, Ohio and retired from Technicote Inc. in 2003. He was a member of Calvary Gospel Temple. Perry will be remembered as a caring and loving father, husband, "paw paw", and friend. We will remember his crazy sense of humor, his laughter, and his big blue eyes. He was a lover of art, Cleveland Indians, country music fanatic, great cook, and his ultimate love for cheesecake. Preceded in death by parents, Theodore and Georgie Armes; sisters, Helen and Alice; brothers, Kenneth, Harvey, Donnie, Roger, Glenn, J.B., and twin brother, Jerry. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 41 years, Loraine; daughters, Michelle L. Armes, Teresa (Howard) Graybeal; special grandson, David Perry Graybeal ("Petie"); brothers, Hassel and Ronnie; sisters, Thelma and Gaynale; and many friends. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Beulah M. Selman and Rev.
