Philip Patrick Abood, 35, of Mogadore, passed away unexpectedly January 5, 2005. Philip was a member of Mogadore Christian Church. He loved music, playing guitar, and studying his Bible. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frederick and Laurina Abood. He will be greatly missed by his maternal grandparents, Howard and Geraldine Krager; mother and stepfather, Carol and Mel Garretson; father and stepmother, Frederick and Judy Abood; sisters, Laura Abood, Geri (Scott) Bowman, and Mary Abood; stepbrother, Melvin (Carole) Garretson, Jr.; stepsister, Margaret (Jeff) Hochstetler; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends at the Coleman/Edinburg Center. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. with Dr. Eugene Higgins officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mogadore Christian Church or the Christian Childrens Fund.
