Philip M. Wilson

Philip M. Wilson, 66, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Philip was born on May 29, 1949 in Harlan, KY. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Philip enjoyed fishing and camping with his family.
Philip is preceded in death by his dad, C.D. Wilson. He is survived by wife, Ellen Wilson; mother, Faye (Russ) Harris; daughter, Vanessa Wilson (Cristian Monari ) from Italy; step-son, Anthony Crawford; granddaughters, Camilla and Alyssa Monari, Evie Crawford; grandsons, Silas and Isaac Miller; siblings, Lee, Robert (Maggie) and Veronica (Gerry); brother- in- law, John Knapp; special niece Sarah Knapp and many other nieces, nephews and friends who will miss Philip dearly.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.
