Philip T. (Terry) Blomgren
Terry Blomgren went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 4, 2008 after a long illness. He was born on July 16, 1936 in Akron. Terry worked in numerous Binderies and Print Shops throughout Akron. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar for family, friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Helen; 2 sons, Philip Terrance and James Edward; 1 sister; and 1 brother. Terry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Mary; daughters, Valerie, Veronica, Venessa and Valinda; sons, T.J. and Jeremy; step-son, Jimmy; sisters, Shirley and Merle; 17 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, close family and friends. Calling hours will be Friday from 3 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at East Liberty Cemetery. Mary and the children would like to give special thanks and appreciation to Hospice, 8th floor Mercy Medical Center staff and Rev. Jack Coontz. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
