Phillip D. Booth
Phillip D. Booth, 60, of Akron, passed away on July 2, 2012. He was born in Akron on March 1, 1952 to the late William and Toni Booth. In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his sister, Loretta Mayfield. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 36 years, Marilyn; sons, Mark (Linda) Zaveson and Matthew (Bethann) Zaveson; daughter, Michelle Allen; grandchildren, David, Kaitlyn, Adam, Michael, Mark, Joseph, Hannah, Zoei, and Xannah; godchild, Alanna; brother, Russell (Judy) Booth; sister, Juanita Hollis; and many other nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Phillip enjoyed fishing with his good friends Butchie and Darrel and gambling with his good friend Connie. Phillip was a friend and a father to many young people in the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps in Canton, Ohio and for nine years, he drove the equipment truck to many of the competitions across the United States and Canada. He also drove for the Sounds of Silence and took them to the White House to sing for President Clinton's inauguration. Phillip was a long-distance truck driver for Conway Freight where he had many special friends, including Jason, Jeff, Blaze, Bob, Little Ed, and Mike. He was a member of both the Barberton Church of Christ and the Uniontown Church of Christ. He also loved car racing and flying model airplanes.
