Phillip O. Krause

Phillip O. Krause, 87, of Mogadore, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2023. He was born in Ashland, Ohio on February 3, 1936 to the late Walter O. and Frances Krause.
While in high school, Phil joined the Ohio Air National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1959. He started his family and was a proud father of five daughters. He had a varied career and eventually retired from Omnicor, where he ran the oil division. In his free time, Phil loved to be on the water boating, fishing, and water skiing. His family was everything to him and he enjoyed big get-togethers and euchre tournaments.
In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Joe Krause; sister, Kay Abrams; grandson, John Bolognue and great-grandson, Michael Sweet.
Phil will be dearly missed by his wife, Claudia; daughters, Kim (Jim) Selby, Kelly (Michael) Bolognue, Kerie (Cuzzie) DiNapoli, Kathryn (Danny) Heffelman, Tammy (Jason) Smith; stepson, Jimmy Hall; stepdaughter, Laura Williams; twin sister, Patsy Randleman; grandchildren, Jason, Danyelle, Jenny, Tiffany, Kasie, Tyler, Trisha, Alicia, Shelley, Renee, Jesslyn; great-grandchildren, Jason, CJ, Haley, Mia, Kelsey, Kylie, Avery, Jilly, Maddie, Christopher, Jonas, Savannah; three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved dog, Oggie Von Krause.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. followed by a 12:00 p.m. memorial service at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Phil will be privately laid to rest at Ashland Cemetery.
