Phillip D. Richards born Oct. 12, 1963 passed away peacefully at his home after a long illness on September 24, 2017. He went by the name of Dave or Double D as he was called by his friends from the Canadian Club of Kent. He served in the US Army and was a Kent Roosevelt graduate.
Dave will be deeply missed by his wife, Jeannie Richards; daughters, Melissa Allen (Brandon) of Springfield, Kira Richards of Hartville, Rebecca Richards of Akron, and Samantha Richards of Akron; sisters, Sherry Corbett and Jude Richards of Kent; and his two granddaughters he loved so much, Allie and Averie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip E. and Loretta K. Richards. There will be no services per Dave's wishes. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
