Phyllis was an ornery, strong-willed, outspoken woman of faith. Small but mighty, she was force of nature. Phyllis always had a thought for others before herself, and her family came above all else. Her fighting spirit carried her through her battle with illness, and even her care staff admired her strength. She read her Bible daily, writing reflections for her prayer box. Phyllis was the glue of her family, the argument mediator, and the perspective her loved ones needed, from time to time. She was loved dearly by her family, for her lessons, her fierceness, and her ability to love and forgive, no matter what.
All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Saturday, October 1 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., when the funeral service will begin. Following services, Phyllis will be cremated. To leave a message for Phyllis' family, please scroll below.
