Phyllis Mae Hosking, 89 of Uniontown, Ohio, beloved sister, aunt and friend passed away on April 7, 2018. She was born on January 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William and Winifred Hosking. Phyllis graduated from South High School, in Akron, Ohio and went on to work for Wright Tool & Forge for 44 years. She attended and loved her church family at Friendship Bible Church in Randolph, Ohio. She was a lifelong bowler and a member of the Women's Bowling Association/Ohio USBC for over 50 years. In 2010, she was inducted into the Women's Bowling Hall of Fame for her many bowling accomplishments.
Brothers, William and James Hosking preceded her in death. Her sister Carolyn Clark and nieces Cheryl Cusimano (Brian Duffy), Christine (Bob) Churey, Jamie (Jeff) Wittenberg and Kimberly (Charles) Henderson, along with great nieces and nephews, Angela, Peter, Robert, Joseph, Jill, John, Julianna, Miles, Kathy, Danny, Phyllis, Gary and Brian, all loved her dearly. Her best friend Diane Spangler and her family along with lifelong friends Jill, Marie, Pat, Cindy, Cathy and Jamie treasured their lifelong friendships.
The family will receive friends to honor her life on Saturday, June 9th at 1:00-2:00 followed by a 2:00 pm memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
