Phyllis J. Pierce (Mcquillen)

Phyllis J. Pierce "McQuillen", 71, of Akron, passed away September 9, 2012. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 20, 1940 to the late William and Hazel Dent. Phyllis was a LPN for 25 years, working at Little Forest Nursing Medical Center (University Park). Phyllis was very compassionate and caring to her family and friends. Her passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren and loved going shopping to the thrift store.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie; brother, Jerry Dent and sister, Janet Wagner.

Phyllis is survived by her sons, Robert Jr. (Michele), Michael (Charlie), Kevin, Matthew, Mark and John (Billy); 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call on Friday, September 14, from 1-2 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a memorial service will follow at 2 PM with Bob McQuillen officiating.
