Phyllis Jean Johnson

Phyllis Jean Johnson, age 68 of Akron passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 28, 2021. She was born on September 3, 1952 to Woodrow and Augusta M. Johnson, now deceased.
Phyllis worked for the Akron-Summit County Public Library for over 30 years (where she came to be know as "Jean".) She then worked another 14 years for the Summit County Prosecutors Office from which she retired in January, 2021.
The true love of Phyllis's life was her pets, especially her dogs. She always had at least one dog and often several. She worked with her own dogs as well as trained others. Showing, behavior, agility, service, search and rescue were all training disciplines she was involved in at one time or another.
Also, as a talented crafter, she created many beautiful projects including a stunning quilt.
Phyllis is survived by cousins and many caring and grieving friends and colleagues. She will be deeply missed.
