Phyllis M. Neitz, age 75 of Barberton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Akron General Hospital.
She was born on March 31, 1942 in Barberton, the daughter of the late Richard and Emma (nee Schuster) Artinger.
She is survived by her daughter Krista (Dave) McCartt of Barberton; sisters, Gloria Goga and Nancy Murray, along with 5 nieces and 4 nephews and best friend, Kay Murphy.
Phyllis always greeted everyone with a smile and was artistically gifted. Throughout her life she enjoyed cooking, and showering her family with special knitted and ceramic gifts. Mrs. Neitz was retired from Summit County Department of Human Services.
Private services were conducted by Pastor Eric Swanson of First Lutheran Church of Barberton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron,.
