Phyllis Jayne Stutler

Phyllis Jayne Stutler, (nee Paulin), age 79, died Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Altercare in Kent, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband, of nearly 57 years, Robert Earl Stutler; her daughter, Ericka; her son, Scott; her granddaughter, Bethany; and other family and friends.
Phyllis graduated from Central High School in Akron, attended the University of Akron, and spent her professional career as a secretary. While her kids were young, she was a homemaker and a very active volunteer at Waterloo Local Schools. She was a certified master gardener, and a member and officer of the Randolph Garden Club.
When she wasn't working in her gardens or volunteering, PJ loved word searches, reading, quilting, embroidery, and all things horse. Her pie crusts were the best and she leaves behind happy memories of the countless parties and events that she hosted.
A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, April 29 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio 44305.
A private burial will be held in Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nature Conservancy.
