Priscilla L. Shaffer

Priscilla L. Shaffer
Priscilla L. Shaffer, 63, the most wonderful mom in the world, came to be at peace after a hard fought battle with cancer on Sunday January 31, 2010. She was loved dearly by her family and friends. Priscilla worked hard all of her life, helped friends and family when in need and was trusted and respected by all who knew her. She was born in Akron, Ohio and came to reside in the country setting of Suffield, Ohio, where she enjoyed her home and family. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, shopping, her son Aaron, and her two cats, Sonny and Sadie. Priscilla was the most caring and loving mother/friend you could ask for. She is preceded in death by her mother, Laura Edson (nee Boyd); and her father, Raymond Edson. She is survived by her son, Aaron; aunts, Joyce Boyd and family, Chris White and family, Caroline Foster and family, Joyce Robertson and family, and Betty Ann Glading and family; brother-in-law, Doug Shaffer and family; and sisters-in-law, Carol Jones and family, and Mae Cooper and family. A truly one of a kind person who will be dearly missed. A visitation will take place Thursday, February 4, from 5 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
