Priscilla "Pat" Ann Minich, 82, of Suffield, passed away on December 24, 2024. She was born on April 22, 1942, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Elmer and Elizabeth (Fotovich) Rexroad and attended Kenmore High School. Pat was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a loving mom, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, friend, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always had a smile to share. Pat had a special bond with animals. She loved taking care of her family’s and friends’ furry companions, always sneaking them extra treats and showering them with love.
Pat’s creativity knew no bounds. She loved crocheting and made beautiful, one-of-a-kind afghans for her family, often featuring characters, symbols, and scenic designs. She also generously donated scarves and lap blankets to the Sub Zero Mission and the Veteran Lap Blanket Project. Her handmade greeting cards for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions were true works of art, treasured by all who received them.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. Pat was deeply devoted to her Christian beliefs, prayed every day, and shared her kindness and love with everyone she met.
She leaves behind her brother, Benjamin G. (Brenda) Rexroad of Akron; her children, Patti (Bill) Pfeifer of Suffield, Cecil Jr. (Karen) Minich of Mentor, and James (Karen) Minich of Akron; and her grandchildren, Nicole (Chris) Tokarsky, Taylor, Kenzie, Jacob (Thomasina) Pfeifer, Sarah (Jason) Bonner, Hannah, Jacob, and Jacquelyn Minich, Jon (Leah), and Matthew Minich. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Braylin, Colton, Aiden, Amora, Alivia, Archer, and Luke, along with many other relatives and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her brother Leslie Rexroad. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday January 18th at 1 PM at Suffield United Church of Christ, officiated by Pastor Karin Wright.
In honor of Pat’s love for animals and her faith, the family suggests donations be made to the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) or the Animal Protective League instead of flowers.
