Rachel Marie Sampson (Jones)

Rachel Marie Sampson (Jones), 32, of Akron, passed away on May 21, 2022. Rachel was born in Akron on June 25, 1989. She loved her job with A Caring Touch Providers and the many friends she made there. Rachel will always be remembered for her bold spirit and her quick wit. She was not afraid to say what she thought and to make others laugh. Rachel had a creative side and enjoyed adult coloring books and crocheting. Above all, she was a wonderful mother. Her children were her life and her legacy lives on through them.
Rachel is now reunited with her grandmother, Susan Jones and uncle, Franklin Jones.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Samara, Marvin, Ravin, and Chloe Mays; mother/father, Landon Lane and stepmother, Tammy Dotts; sisters, Laura Dotts, Danielle Yanosik, Delisa Sherroll, and many other siblings; aunts, Cassandra (Randy) Roscoe, Carolyn Riley, and Valerie Thomas; many other relatives and friends including special cousin/friend, Amber Thomas. Rachel also leaves her beloved cat, Frankie.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rachel's family.
