Ralph Paul Black, age 62, of New Washington, Ohio, died on June 1, 2021 at his home.
He was born on April 22, 1959 in Munich, Germany, the son of the late Paul Edwin Black and Gudrun (nee McKeny).
Ralph loved watching war movies and was a history buff, especially with war. He was incredibly prideful of being a welder. Ralph was born in Germany and absolutely loved his heritage and the German people and culture.
His great joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Jessica (John Lindley) Black, Victoria (David) Rogers, Sean (Crystal) Black, Brian (Brittnie) Black, Melissa (Stephen "Sam") Metz and Brittany (Andrew Zagorsky) Black; his grandchildren, Payton, Kori, Carson, Carter, Lizzie, Luke, Ivory-Rose, Abigail, Laila-Ann, Alorah, and one on the way, Andrew.
Ralph's siblings also survive, Gabriele (Eric Peasley) Griffiths, Oliver (Carolyn) Black and Tammy Hogan.
Other than his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his brother, Carry Black.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM.
Family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
