Ralph E. Whited

Ralph E. Whited, 80, of Atwater, passed away January 5, 2013. He was born in Gay, WV on March 21, 1932 to the late Ernie and Melissa Whited. Ralph retired from Babcock & Wilcox after 36 years of service. He was an avid woodcarver and gardener.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, of 57 years; sons, Steven (Sally), Jeffrey (Sheila); daughter, Deborah (Patrick) Tummel; brothers, Denver (Eva), Hestel (Mabel Sue), Bernard and Frank (Ruth); sisters, Ruby Godbey and Mabel McCrady; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, January 9, from 3-4 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with Father Thomas Acker presiding. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
