Ralph Garland

Ralph E. Garland, 79, passed away on May 16, 2008. He was born in E. Providence Twp., PA on September 5, 1928 to the late George and Belle Garland. Ralph served with the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Breezewood Lutheran Church and the Retired Teamsters Local 24. Ralph had worked for Yankee Lines, Mason-Dixon, and Central Transport Trucking Companies. He was a lifetime member of Mogadore VFW and the Everett American Legion, where he had 55 years of service. He also enjoyed traveling and watching NASCAR racing and the Cleveland Indians. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Doris and his sister Ruth. Survivors include son Edward (Pamela); daughter Gloria Garland; granddaughter Jessica (Clinton) Pittman; great-granddaughter Morgan; sisters Pearl (Richard) Mellott and Betty (Denny) Sietz; and brother Floyd (Evelyn). Calling hours will be Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. at Dalla-Valle Funeral Home, 22 W. Main St. Everett, PA 15537 where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment and military honors at Everett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Springfield Twp. Fire Dept.
