Ralph A. Keener
Ralph A. Keener, 86, of Akron, passed away April 10, 2005. Ralph retired from Metro Regional Transit Authority after 38 years of service. He was a longtime member of Tallmadge Church of the Nazarene. Ralph is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Gladys; parents, Benjamin and Dula Delight Keener; and brother, Gerald Keener. He is survived by his daughter, Marie (Larry) Cockerham; sons, Ralph James (Ruth Marie) and Gene (Joann) Keener; sisters, Pauline Wolcott and Dorothy Tucker; brother, Gene (Hazel) Keener; nine grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Tallmadge Church of the Nazarene, 191 S. Munroe Rd., with Dr. Mark Lail officiating. Calling hours from 10 - 11 a.m. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Tallmadge Church of the Nazarene.
