Ralph D. Kittinger

Ralph D. Kittinger, 94, of Springfield Township, passed away on June 17, 2024. He was born in Akron on November 24, 1929 to the late Charles and Maude Kittinger.
Ralph married Ida Shriver in 1955 and their family grew to include two sons. For many years, Ralph served in law enforcement. He worked for Portage and Summit County Sheriff Departments, as well as Springfield Township Police Department. He also owned Springfield Auto Sales for over 50 years. He was a longtime member of Millheim United Church of Christ.
Ralph was never idle. He loved to work, but in his rare free time, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Ida; brothers, Gale, Leonard, Donald, and Frank Kittinger; as well as an infant sister.
Ralph will be dearly missed by his sons, Greg (Sandi) and Tim (Jacki) Kittinger; granddaughter, Sarah (Chad) Isler; great-grandchildren, Jude and Stella Isler; brothers, Charles Jr. and Earl Kittinger.
