Ralph L. Notch

Ralph L. Notch, 62, of Mogadore, passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2018. Ralph was born in the Portsmouth, Virginia Navy Hospital on May 21, 1956 and grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin and Eagle Bend, Minnesota. Ralph was a proud Navy Veteran and was employed as a Sr. Logistics Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where he worked for 33 years. He enjoyed hiking, traveling and going to the movies. Ralph was a devoted father, grandfather and selfless friend to many. His smile was contagious, and he could light up a room with his stories and sense of humor; he did, after all, come from a long line of inventors. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Notch, and brothers, James and William Notch.

He is survived by his mother, Janice Notch; daughters, Jodi Notch, Jamie (Justin) Notch-Francis and Melanie (DJ) Fisher (Notch); step-daughter, Lisa (Jason) Adams; grandchildren, Colton, Cash and Corriann Francis, Jenna Hentsch, and Justin and Jessica Simmons; great-grandchildren, Erich and Penelope; mother to his children, Lisa Notch; sisters, Teresa Notch, Jane Johnson and Joanne (Jeff) King; brothers, Tim (Sharon), Joe (Nicole), Bob (Karen) and Chris (Tammy) Notch; long-time companion, Cindy Iten, and many extended family members and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, on Thursday, November 8, 2018 for the celebration of life service beginning at noon. Visitation will be from 10 am until 1 pm.
