Ray A. Elrod, 71, of Akron, went to be with his Lord on May 30, 2013. He was born on February 17, 1942 to the late Gene and Mary (Sausser) Elrod in Weymouth, MA. Ray worked as a Millwright Machinist Mechanic with his Journeyman's license. He was very active who enjoyed spending time outdoors. On October 5, 1996, he married Michele L. Lloyd.
Ray is survived by his loving Wife, Michele and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents and Brother, Robert H. Elrod, Sr. Visitation will be held 4-7 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Summit Christian Church, 133 S. Hawkins Ave, Akron, OH 44313 with Pastor Mike Martin officiating. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park.
