Raymond L. Bealer
Raymond L. Bealer, 67, of Hartville, passed away at home with his family around him on July 17, 2007. Ray was born May 16, 1940 in Canton to the late Raymond and Ruby Bealer and grew up in Greentown. He was the owner of Bealer Construction, a rough framing company, where he took great pride in the fact that the homes he framed were done with a high standard of workmanship. For over 25 years, hundreds of homes were built by him. Later, Ray worked at Applegate Property Management where he enjoyed both the work and the people he worked with. Ray liked working around the yard and going to flower gardens. He loved classic cars and going to car shows. Ray owned a 1940 Plymouth (a car as old as him) and a '63 T-Bird (the year Ray and Janet were married). He took great pleasure driving both. Ray dearly loved his family and took pride in them all. He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughter, Paula (Scott) Cummings of Lebanon, IL; sons, Scott Joseph Bealer (Ruth) and Gregory Allan Bealer, both of Akron; sisters, Marge Rueschman, Donna (Mark) Rueschman, and Doris (Mark) King, all of Canton; brothers, Alvin "Dick" (Carol) Bealer of Greentown, Robert (Mary) Bealer of Canton, and Ronald (Evelyn) Bealer of Norton; and grandchildren, Hailey Nicole Cummings and Ryan Andrew Cummings. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with visitation from 10:30-11:30 a.m., Rev. Jim Bane officiating.
