RAYMOND C. GIBITZ
Raymond C. Gibitz, 82, a resident of Tallmadge for 51 years, passed away September 5, 2001 at Hospice Care Center. He was born September 16, 1918 in Akron, Ohio. Mr. Gibitz was a veteran of WWII having served in the 83rd Infantry Division. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Tallmadge and retired from McNeil Corp. where he was a Mechanical Engineer. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (DeMali) Gibitz, with whom he had celebrated 55 years of marriage on January 26, 2001; sons Jim (Dana) Gibitz, Mark Gibitz, Kevin Gibitz; brothers Ernie (Julia) Gibitz, Art (Jean) Gibitz; sisters-in-law Ann Girlando, Rose (Max) Secaur, Margaret Littlefield; grandchildren Jason (Melissa) Gibitz, Joshua Gibitz, Rebecca Gibitz; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Tallmadge Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron OH 44333.
