Raymond Carson

Raymond O. Carson, 82, of Tallmadge, passed away August 2, 2011. He was born September 13, 1928 in Akron, Ohio. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 45 plus years of service. Raymond was preceded in death by Irene, the love of his life for 58 years; parents, Ralph and Elizabeth Carson; grandson, Sgt. Justin T. Walsh USMC; brothers, Ralph, Robert and Richard. He is survived by sons, Jeff, Ronald (Deanna); daughters, Cathy (Richard) Davis, Chris (Doug) Custer, Terri Walsh and Ron Matthews; 12 grandchildren; 18.5 great-grandchildren; sister, Garnet; brother, George; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 5, from 4-7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Private burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
