Raymond Joseph Crawford

Raymond Joseph "Ray" Crawford, 93, passed away on May 31, 2023. He was born to the late Lawrence and Margaret Crawford on December 10, 1929. Raymond played for Silver League Softball until the age of 83. He loved to fish, hike all of the metro park trails, tinker around the house and build different things. He proudly served his county in the United States Navy. Ray attended Immaculate Conception Church with his wife and was a man of faith. He will be remembered for his generosity to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He spoiled his children and grandchildren and they never went without.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Mary A. Crawford, and now they are together again; beloved daughter, Linda Gillespie; sister, Delores Ober; brothers, James, Lawrence and Terrance Crawford.

Left to cherish his memory are his five children, Timothy (LouAnn), Patrick (Kathy), Kathy (Mike) Abbas, Mike (Margaret) and Terry (Pam) Crawford; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and services are pending. Details will be announced as they are finalized.
