Raymond E. Smith, 54, of Akron, passed away May 28, 2009. Raymond will always be remembered as a fun loving, gentle person who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved music and photography. He was a devoted father and will be missed by all who knew him. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Raymond C. Smith. He is survived by his mother, Virginia M. Smith; daughter, Amanda R. Smith; son, Jamie Wieland; sisters, Jean Rittenour, Janice Aber, Pauline Fiume, and Nadine (Bob) Kight; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
