Raymond Alan Moats

Raymond A. Moats, 89, passed away at home peacefully on October 10th, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. A life-long resident of Akron, Ray lived a long and active life enjoying bowling, fishing, golfing, shooting pool and singing karaoke. After working 30 years at Burt Greenwald Chevrolet in Akron, he owned and operated the Pad Lounge in the Ellet area of Akron, where he was a friend to many. Preceding him in death, his daughter Tracey; son Raymond Jr.; sister Anne Marie Stephens; and brother Don. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maxine; sons Edward (Susan), David and Kenneth; brother Paul; and grandchildren Max, Jillian, Maddie, Nolan and Carter. To honor Ray's request, there will be no calling hours. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Harmonycares Hospice for their wonderful care.
