Raymond Schultheis
Raymond Schultheis, 78, passed away June 22, 2009. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Submarine Service aboard the U.S.S. Diablo SS-479 in Korea. Raymond was a retired truck driver belonging to Teamster Local #24. He was a life time member of the Mogadore VFW Post #8487 where he served on the honor guard. Raymond was also a member of Cooties Pup Tent #24 and he was a life member of American Legion Post #496 in Kent. Some people took his determination and opinions in the wrong light. The friends that truly knew him, knew him as a kind and caring man. He will be missed. He is survived by his many friends. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where the Mogadore VFW Post #8487 will conduct a final salute. Private interment services will be held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
