Rebecca Ann Simon

October 18, 1953 — December 12, 2020

Becky was born in Akron, Ohio and was dearly loved by all. She was a lovely Christian woman who touched many lives with her kind and gentle heart. Becky had a heart of gold and loved people. Born into a large family, she loved the Lord, and impacted hundreds of lives as a nurse's aide. She had a special ability to understand and love the Alzheimer's clients.

Becky is survived by her son, Ben (Colleen) Simon, and grandchildren, Triston and Jasmine. Her husband, Ernie Simon, preceded her in death.

Becky has many siblings who will also miss her dearly, but we are all of one accord in rejoicing that she is happy in Heaven and able to look upon the face of Jesus forever. Her siblings are as follows: Sharilyn Long, Mary (Karl) Boss, Deborah Stringfield, Jesse (Maru) Jones, Candy Teets and Tammy Jones. Becky has an array of nieces and nephews who loved her as well. She will be missed on this earth, but we know she is in a better place.

Becky has some loved ones already in Heaven, and a great reunion is taking place now. Praise God she is walking the streets of gold now with her husband, Ernie Simon, her mom, Marion, and brothers, Tim Jones and Willie Jones. And she can embrace our beloved niece, Jody.

Sadly, ten days after Becky went to Heaven, our wonderful eldest sister, Sharilyn (listed above), has passed on as well. Sharilyn and Becky were "best buddies" on this earth. Their connection continues on in Heaven.

Becky leaves our Aunt Lu Vanie Thompson who is 100 years old; praise God! Aunt Lu Vanie had been one of our best Godly influences on this earth. Also in Alabama are several cousins. As children we used to spend lots of time in Alabama in the summers. Many happy memories.

She loved to go to gospel singings, and she loved swimming. Becky took many brief trips around Ohio with sister, Sharilyn, and nephew, Jason. They went to Niagara Falls as well. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her granddaughter, Jasmine. That girl was the light of Becky's life. Jasmine gave Becky such happiness and love on this earth. Jasmine was the light of her life.

We must mention Becky's very best friend, Debbie Lockhart. Debbie has walked through life; the trials and the FUN times with Becky, really an inspiration and a picture of friendship and love. Debbie has been an example for all to try and emulate.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Becky's life will take place in the spring or summer of 2021. Please check back at this website in the spring for updated service information when it becomes available.
