Rebecca A. Wilson

Rebecca A. Wilson (Heidt), 52, passed away December 6, 2016, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Christmas Day, 1963 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Rebecca graduated from Stow-Munroe Falls High School in 1982 and moved to Austin, TX to pursue her love of art. Rebecca traveled extensively throughout the country and settled back in her home town of Cuyahoga Falls.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her dad, William E. Nigh, in 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Cerridwyn Wilson; love of her life, Josh Canel; mom, Betty A. Nigh (Barringer); father, Robert A. Heidt Sr.; siblings, William "Johnny" Nigh, Thomas "Jimmy" (Toni) Nigh, Diana (Tom) Tyson, Robert "Bob" A. (Gail) Heidt Jr., Rachelle "Shelly" (Dan) Light; 9 nieces and nephews; 6 great-nieces; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by her in-laws, Robert A. and Susan Canel.

Family will welcome friends for a memorial service to be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Visitation will be from 11:00 am -1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Paws and Prayers Pet Rescue or the American Cancer Society.
