Reca Marie O'Donnell, 92, of Stow, passed away peacefully at home with her son, daughter-in-law, daughter, and granddaughter by her side on December 12, 2016.
Reca was born in Akron on April 7, 1924 to the late Vaster and Edna Richardson. Reca was a beautician, having worked at Polsky's and Copley Bell. She always took great pride in her appearance and her hair was always perfect. Reca was a natural hostess and made everyone feel welcome in her home. She was an excellent cook and always had food ready for her visitors. In her free time, Reca enjoyed Bingo, visiting casinos, and going on cruises. She was also an avid card player.
In addition to her parents, Reca was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O'Donnell; son, Chuck O'Donnell; sister, June Detke; granddaughter, Karla Wilt; and companion, John Barkocy. She will be deeply missed by her children, Pamela (Duane) Yerkey of Springfield Twp and Bob (Patty) O'Donnell of Texas; granddaughters, Diane (Scott) Sprankle, Dena Roberts, and Stephanie (Carl) Bobo; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Per Reca's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
