Rejatta "Cookie" Hampton went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 13, 2010 after a brief illness. She was born January 28, 1927 in Fulton, Mississippi to Orlando and Finous Stegall. Rejatta was faithfully and gainfully employed as a cook at Anthe's on the Lakes for 40 years until her retirement in 2004. Rejatta is preceded in death by her daughter, Faynetta Farr; parents, Orlando and Finous Stegall; and siblings, Sylvester, James, Sulla, Kate, Loretta, and Rosalie. Left to cherish the memory of her love: son, Travis of Chicago, IL; daughters, Jeanetta (Charles) Stephenson of Akron, OH, and Annetta Farr of Columbus, OH; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at H. Templeton Ministries C.O.G.I.C., 994 Swartz Rd, Akron, 44319, on Saturday, November 20, at 11 am with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Willie Templeton will be officiating. Burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to 1932 Marks Ave., Akron, 44305.
