Uniontown

Renee Ann Pegler, 62, of Uniontown, OH passed away on November 21st, 2024 in her home, surrounded by family, following a diagnosis of ALS. She was born on July 31st, 1962 in Canton, OH to David and Nancy (Klingmann) Walter. She graduated from GlenOak High School and attended Stark State College / Kent State University. She spent the majority of her professional career working alongside her father and many friends and family members at Dave Walter BMW / VW. This is where she met her husband of almost 33 years, Les. During this time, she also served on the board of The Akron Auto Dealers Association.

Renee had two primary passions in life; being a loving mother to her two sons, Ryan and Alec, and helping as many dogs as possible. She volunteered for One of a Kind Pet Rescue and fostered many dogs and puppies for both One of a Kind Pet Rescue and Akron Rescue Team.

Renee is survived by her husband Les Pegler; sons and (daughters-in-law) Ryan Pegler (Shannon) and Alec Pegler (Stephanie); parents Dave & Nancy Walter; sister Andre Walls; brother & sister-in-law David & Kathy Walter; nephews Nicholas and Michael Walls; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends as well as her beloved dogs and "foster failures" GG, Lil Bit and Newbie. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Robert Walls.

At Renee's request, there will be no formal funeral services. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at a later time. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff from Cleveland Clinic Akron General's Intensive Care Unit and Hospice teams. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Renee's memory to One of a Kind Pet Rescue, Akron Rescue Team or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
