Rev. R. Meyer

Rev. David R. Meyer, 81, went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2016. He was born in St. Joseph, MO to the late Rev. Otto and Alma Meyer. He vicared at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cuyahoga Falls. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 1961 and began his ministry in Battle Creek, IA. Rev. Meyer also served congregations in Wooster and Mt. Hope, OH and also in Wauwatosa, Berlin, and West Bend, WI. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-mother, Ethel Meyer; and brother in-law, Tommy Hall Sr.

Rev. Meyer is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Clara; sons, Paul, Daniel (Lynne) and James (Tammy) Meyer; grandchildren, Madeline, Eric, and Matthew; sister, Ruth Hall and Margaret (Joseph) Bush; sister in-law, Kathryn Miller; and several nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday December 28, 2016 from 10-11am with the funeral service beginning at 11am at Redeemer Lutheran Church 2141 5th St. in Cuyahoga Falls. Rev. Jack Kozak officiating. Interment Maple Lawn Cemetery.
