Rev. Roby A. Hylton, Sr., 87, went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2013.
Roby served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from General Motors/Terex after many years of service. He was Pastor of Church of God, Mtn. Assembly and was a 32nd degree Mason.
Preceded in death by his wife, Hazel; parents, Patton and Laura Hylton; and several siblings. Survivors include his son, Rev. Roby, Jr. (Darlene); daughter, Regina; 3 grandchildren, Mike, April, and Christopher (Amanda); 6 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Calling hours will be Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
